“Somewhere to belong” is a place to investigate how life forms are constantly in search of a space to dwell. It is an attempt to deal with the complexity of the environment we are immersed in. As humans and animals, we are exiled from our original roots in the very first moment we are born. The moment we come in contact with the world through our first breath marks the separation from our origin. And we live our life looking for a place, a community, a person in which we can dwell and feel at home.

artist
Lucrezia Costa is an Italian visual artist living and working in Reykjavik. She is interested in restoring the loss human beings have suffered through the relations with the landscape, nature, other beings and among humans themselves. She is doing it through experimentations with sculpture, installation and relational works.
