show
The show Slowly Collected, Compressed, repeat centers around collection through slow rituals. The mundane daily rituals, artistic rituals driven by process, obsessive rituals to calm thoughts, and simply the ritual of moving our bodies through space… Art making in itself is an all-encompassing repetitive process of obsessive rituals. Through weaving, photography, and installation I look towards the question: what does it mean to not just accept but revel in the obsession of ritual?
